Terms of Service
By using UpLeagues you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- Use your real name. Other players are deciding whether to put you in their squad.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
Rating other players honestly
Peer ratings are the heart of UpLeagues and they only work if people are straight about them. So:
- Rate how someone actually played, not how you feel about them.
- Do not arrange with anyone to rate each other up, or gang up to rate someone down.
- Do not check in to a match you did not play in order to gain a vote.
The app already limits the damage — ratings are private, teammates and opponents are weighted separately, and extremes are dropped — but deliberately gaming the system can cost you your account.
Behaving
Endorsements and team, league and player names are visible to other people. Do not post abuse, harassment, hate, or anything you would not say to somebody at the side of a pitch. If someone is bothering you, block them — they will not be told — and email us if it is serious.
Scores and disputes
A result needs one captain to report it and the other to confirm it. If they disagree, the league organizer decides and their decision is final within the app. If a reported score goes unanswered for 72 hours it is accepted automatically, and the match shows that it was.
What we do not promise
UpLeagues is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, that every rating is a fair reflection of a player, or that nobody will ever behave badly on it. We are not responsible for what happens at the actual matches — organising them, playing them, and everyone’s safety are between you and the people you play with.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like from Settings. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why where we can.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
